Located next to a large housing complex, the challenge was that the bulk of this 9000m² industrial building could not be concealed from the neighbouring residential properties. Instead of trying to hide the building, the design was approached as a unique landscape in its own right. The warehouse component was conceived as a mountain that serves as a backdrop to the office component. This is expressed as a shimmering waterfall. The stainless steel mesh on the offices cools the building as it reduce solar heat gain to the offices within. Rainwater harvesting and energy saving measure were incorporated throughout to further assist in a sustainable project. This imaginative and innovative project became a focal point to the busy intersection. Solutions to real problems as above help to establish Tektonik as one of the top industrial architects in the country.
